ENST is located in the southern part of Paris, in the "Butte aux Cailles" (hill of quails) districts. "Butte aux Cailles" is one of the old districts and the third highest hill in Paris. The area has a ``village'' atmosphere with a pedestrian area and many pubs and restaurants. The Quarter is 15 minutes walk from China Town and 15 minutes by bus (line 21) from the Latin Quarter.

How to reach ENST from Paris airports

ENST is within ten minutes walk from the "CORVISART" metro station (on line 6). In Paris the metro and the suburban commuter (RER) are interconnected; you can travel from one system to the other with the same ticket. However, while any trip on the metro system costs one ticket, the price of the trip on the RER system depends on the distance covered. More about metro and bus transportation in Paris: http://www.ratp.fr/index.eng.html, and http://www.paris.org/Metro/

There are two international airports that serve Paris: Orly Airport (ORY), which is about 30 minutes south of Paris and Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), which is about 30 minutes northeast. Both airports are equivalent with regard to getting to and from the conference site, so this should not be a deciding factor in which airline to choose. Delta and American fly into ORY, United and Air France fly into CDG.

From Charles de Gaulle Airport:

Taxi from Charles de Gaulle to ENST is about 200-250 FF on the meter (there may be some small additional charge for luggage), add a 10% tip.

From Orly airport:

Take the ORLYBUS (about 40FF) towards ``DENFERT-ROCHEREAU'', get off at ``Rene Coty'' station. Then it's a 10 minutes walk to ENST.

Taxi from Orly Airport costs about 100-150 FF on the meter (there may be some small additional charge for luggage), add a 10% tip.
