CIS365 F'99 Midterm Information

The midterm will be on Monday October 25th during class.

It will be closed text/closed note.

It will consist of questions similar to those in the textbooks.

In particular for the Stern text you should study the self-tests, review questions and programming assignments in chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8.

For the Uckan text (chapters 1 and 2), review the review questions, as well as the multiple-choice, short essay, problem solving and programming exercises. (Note I won't ask questions from the "programming problems," just the "programming exercises.")

However: you only need to know the materials that we've discussed in class or used in your homework assignments, including concepts in your COBOL programs. I will not include questions that concern materials we have not covered in class lectures or homeworks.

Also, there will be no programming on the midterm, although you might have to write a FD or a small code segment.

We will hold a review session in class on Wednesday October 20th. I will not prepare any review material, so it will be up to you all to bring in questions.
