CIS677 Spring '00 - Chunking Quality Evaluation Form
Chunking Conference Kr-Ma

For each participant in your own chunking conference only, please evaluate the overall quality of their chunks. Please judge the quality of the comments, not whether they were on time or not.

Do not evaluate your own.

You should not need to re-read the chunks. By the end of the semester you should have a good feel for the quality of chunks that each of the members of your chunking conference writes. Please fill out this form based on your overall feeling instead of a thorough re-reading of the chunks.

Please recall that some people were moved to different conferences in the first few weeks of class, so don't worry if you do not see chunking from some people for the first few weeks.

In your evaluation, please remember that the quality of chunks does not arise from your classmates' background in IS.  Chunking comments can:

• be based on your own experiences with IS as a user or simply a member of society
• relate the chunk to a prior reading from class, from another class or in the trade press
• relate the chunk to current news items
• relate the chunk to one's feelings about its topic
• reflect an ideal situation or fantasy
• etc.

Please return this evaluation form to your instructor by 5/2. Distance students can mail it to Prof. Bieber - CIS Dept. - NJIT - Newark, NJ 07102 - or fax it to (973) 596-5777.

Since we will do evaluations twice during the semester, your evaluation of each conference member should be separate for each half of the semester, not cumulative.

Note that your evaluation will be held in strictest confidence. Please be honest in your evaluations.
