Who is the ISA? What does the ISA stand for?
The ISA stands for the Islamic Students Association. The formation of the
club was done a few years ago and ever since, the club has added a lot
of members to its vast list. The club has not restricted its membership to
the Muslim students but any member of the NJIT community is welcome to join
in and learn about the religion of ISLAM and the various facets of the
religion.
The ISA's constitution is not only the constitution which is to be followed
by all the student clubs but also, the Quran, which is the word of Allah
and the Sunnah(ways, actions) of the prophet Mohammad(P.B.U.H).
Every member takes pride in not only applying the knowledge of the
religion, ISLAM, in their daily lives but also applying those teachings to
inform and teach the community about ISA and about ISLAM.
ISLAM: A Brief Introduction
First of all, ISLAM is based on the five pillars that every Muslim should
follow:
The first thing that one should know and clearly understand about ISLAM
is what the word "ISLAM" itself means. ISLAM is the 'true' religion of
Allah and as such, its name represents the central principle of Allah's,
God's, religion...the total submission to the will of Allah. ISLAM, an
Arabic word, means the "submission or surrender of one's will to the only
true God worthy of worship, Allah, and who does so is termed a Muslim.
The word ISLAM also imples Peace which is the natural consequence of
total submission to the will of Allah. Hence, it was not a new religion
brought by the Prophet Mohammad(P.B.U.H.) in Arabia in the seventh
century, but only the true religion of Allah re-expressed in its final form.
The WebSite
The website was created to cater to the needs of the ISA member community
and also act as an informant to those who are interested in learning
about the club, its various activities, and ISLAM.
Enjoy your stay here at our website and before setting you off on the
journey, to quote a hadith from prophet Mohammad(P.B.U.H.):
The Prophet said, "Facilitate things to people (concerning religious
matters), and do not make it hard for them and give them good
tidings and do not make them run away (from Islam)."
